Representative Falzone Announces Availability of Senior Home Care Guidebook
Representative Mark Falzone announced the release of a new directory and guidebook for homecare services available to senior citizens, “The 2009 Guide to Private Home Care: a Directory of Private Home Care Agencies in Massachusetts.” Copies of this new, helpful guide can be found at www.thinkhomecare.org, or by calling (617) 482-8830. Representative Mark Falzone said, “With our growing elderly population in Massachusetts, the number of families in our community confronting difficult care decisions for their frail or chronically ill loved ones has likewise substantially increased. This guide, published by the non-profit Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, provides one more important tool for families to use, and reinforces our Commonwealth’s commitment to giving seniors a choice to remain in their homes and community neighborhoods for as long as possible.” In many cases, families are unsure of the different levels of care available, where they can go for reliable caregivers, and how they can pay for such services. The 2009 Guide to Private Home Care Services not only offers a listing of highly-regarded, highly-qualified home care providers, but also helps families navigate the questions they need to ask themselves to assess their needs and find the care that is best suited to them. For more information on the Home Care Alliance and to download or request a copy of the guide, please visit www.thinkhomecare.org or call (617)482-8830.
